My name is Valeria Bafumi, I’m a Sicilian decorator and restorer, I live and I work in Catania. I attended the Istituto Statale d’Arte specializing in “Relief and Cataloging of Cultural Heritage" and then I attended the Academy of Fine Arts and Restoration "Nike" graduating with honors in "Painting and restoration". Since that year I have lent my work to companies of considerable national and foreign importance, at numerous restoration sites, among the most important: the sculptures and stone elements in lava stone, white stone, metals and bronzes at the Bellini Gardens. of Catania, inside the Badia di S. Agata church in Catania, restoration of the monumental staircase and the stuccoes of Villa Romeo delle Torrazze, the ceilings of the Faro House-Museum in Pedara and finally a long collaboration with Maltese company, from the papier-mâché works of maestro Malecore to the frescoes in the dome of the Basilica do St. Helena and the Grand Master Palace in Valletta.

My activity does not stop there because I also designed decorations in style and trompe l'oeil for several tourist locations and catering facilities, and for numerous private apartments and houses too.

I studied the Sicilian style and collaborated with a well-known Italian Brand in the High Fashion sector, and my passion for the history of historical costume broadening my horizons towards new techniques and giving other goals.

I firmly believe in the value of culture and curiosity as a winning card to stand out, also in professionalism and humility to always give the best of ourselves and that there will always be things to be learned until imagination and creativity will be my fuel and pencil and color tools to make everything visible...
